Your donation enables us to take good care of our neighborsLFOF is supported entirely by personal donations and annual fundraising efforts. No one is paid a salary and 90% of our donations goes directly to helping families. The remainder of the funds are needed for communication, insurance and our telephone hotline. The more funds we raise, the more families we can help; and the more meaningful our help can be. Your financial support sustains our work, and we are extremely grateful.
We are now accepting donations of stocks and mutual funds. If you or a loved one have appreciated stock email us at [email protected] for instructions. Gifting appreciated stock could be a cost effective and tax efficient way to help a neighbor in need. IRA Charitable Rollovers: If you meet the age for a current required distribution, you can direct up to $100,000 per year, tax free, from your IRA to support your local community. By gifting from your Donor Advised Fund you can choose the cadence and amount you’d like to give to support a local family today. Please consider Larchmont Friends of the Family in your annual gifts. Make your donation go twice as far. Many employers match donations made to non-profit organizations!
Each donor should check with their benefits department to see if their employer matches donations to non-profits. If both partners in a household work for an employer that matches, the donation matching request can be submitted to each employer.
